And Now It’s Almost Christmas. …Wait, What? WASN’T IT JUST LIKE…MARCH?

Seriously….Time goes too fast the older you get. I feel like I’m going to wake up tomorrow and be on my death-bed. [At the same time, I feel like I’m just barely 18 and I have way too much to look forward to, and way too much going on right NOW to worry about that.]

Even so, end-of-the-year means lots of awesome.

If I was loaded…if I were absolutely rolling in cash, I would happily buy [almost] everyone I know awesome things for Christmas.

Even though I’m religious as a toothpick. That’s besides the point.

Alas, I’m fairly broke. But that’s no excuse to skip it entirely, amirite?

So, I usually wind up making things for friends for Christmas. At least, that’s what I’ve done the last couple years. [Or just the last one….or who really knows.]

It’s kind of funny. You know the age old ‘those who have curly hair want straight…blondes want dark hair….if you have brown eyes you want blue ones…’ blah blah blah…?

Seemingly most people like receiving/giving homemade things, because they’re more personal. I, of course, always feel bad doing that because I figure it’s cheap and boring and nothing I make is really worth giving anyone. BUT ALAS. Can’t be helped; still broke.

Plus, I need SOMETHING to get me in the Christmas mood. Considering the dogs and all inconveniences, I’m fairly sure we’re not even decorating this year. Aaand considering the relative broke-ness of us in general, gifts are going to be tiny if existent at all. [Which is cool; Not like we actually need anything, so whatever.] Even so, no sense being a total Scrooge. Just because my family’s not doing anything doesn’t mean I don’t have to! Hello baking and making things.

The only downside to this: Oh my poor fingernails. If they did anything to deserve being on the naughty list, all this DIY is definitely their coal.

[Still, my constant stalking of Craft Gawker led me to actually WANT to buy a neutral polish color for the first time in my life. But trust me, it’s worth it. Don’t believe me? >>BAM<< {Craft Gawker has led me to her blog multiple times. Clearly, the girl is genius.} It helps I finally found the silver version of the gold sparkly Sephora polish used in that post. Damn stuff’s been M.I.A in JCP for EVER.]

The weather’s probably not helping the Christmas-mood. Being in Florida….we’ve had really cold days, but at the moment…not so much. 80’s and 70’s this week. Ah. [Still, I’m not complaining. I adore my boots, don’t get me wrong: But I also really, really like my shorts.]

Anyway. I’ll quite rambling. Back to work!

What about you guys? Any Christmas/other holiday plans? Any particularly awesome gift ideas? [Store-bought or DIY – awesome is awesome.]

About TheChaoticCloset

I'm pretty much your average 19 year old girl. I'm kind of rabidly into anything artsy [well. I adore most anything in the realm of 'art'. Doesn't mean I'm good at it all.] including fashion. After becoming sort of obsessed with Polyvore.com, I decided to create this. It'll probably mostly just be a giant, chaotic mess of all my little projects, loves, wants, obsessions and some random things I find along the way. Enjoy - or don't; Really, it's up to you.
